This hotel is a great value for money with its reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location is ideal, situated in a very quiet and rather isolated area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located in front of a small train station, making it easy to get around the area even without a car. We got a great price/great deal through Booked.net. Pfronten is situated directly across the border from Austria and is about 20 minutes from the fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein and very close to the town of Fuessen. There is free parking directly in front of the inn and the old stable building. The Breitenbergbahn, ( a large mountain ski-lift), which is directly beside the inn, is open both summer and winter to take you to the top of the mountain. There are also a multitude or wandering paths which can be enjoyed if you have a few days to spend. Friendly and helpful staff. There was a comfortable double bed with traditional down comforters and a piece of candy on the pillows. Plenty of storage space in the separate wardrobe and a balcony so that we could open up and get some fresh air (no air conditioning)and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. A small, fully tiled bathroom with shower stall, sink and toilet-plenty of hot water. Everything very clean A great breakfast buffet was included in the price, and in the morning we were all seated in the cheery breakfast room at designated tables by the server. There was a multitude of coldcuts, cheeses, breads/buns and breakfast cereals with milk or yoghurt. Also included were fresh fruit salad and soft boiled eggs. The tea and coffee were brought to the table by the server. Enormous lunch/dinner menu with traditional German dishes-biergarten for relaxing in the evenings. All in all we had a comfortable night's sleep and could continue our trip the next morning well-rested.
There is no elevator, which can cause problems for those with limited mobility. The staff had their "smoking table" directly under our balcony. Rooms on the front of the building are directly by the road and get noise from the passing traffic both day and night. No airconditioning, so the windows must be open (adding to the noise) Very "tired" decor-needs updating. Very small (12") tv. No amenities or hair-dryer in bathroom.

Good location and very good restaurant. Decent buffet breakfast included in the price.
The hotel details said that it accepted bankcards as payment but really meant that it only accepted maestro. It does not accept visa debit. Also, the restaurant is run separately to the hotel and only accepts cash. Nice place but take cash.

People are very nice and the rooms on the mountain side offer a splendid view. The place is quiet, you need a car if you want to visit around ; but walking can start directly from the hotel. Breakfast is nice and restaurant is good and offer local specialities: try the Apple Flamenkuch.

We stayed at a hotel in a beautiful area and enjoyed our Easter break. The breakfast was adequate and included in the price. , the transport connections were fantastic with a bus stop and train station just across the road. We appreciated the great views from our balcony, especially the one of the snowy mountain range.
There was no coffee or tea making facilities in our room, which is usually standard. the room was on the smaller side, making it feel a little cramped.

The location of the hotel was great as it was close to many tourist attractions and easy to reach by public transport. the view from our room was amazing and we enjoyed waking up to it every morning. the staff was friendly and accommodating, they helped us book tickets for nearby attractions and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants in the area.
The room was outdated and in need of renovation. the beds were uncomfortable and the bedding was old and tired.
